About RFID Technology
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. The tags contain electronically stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID reader’s interrogating radio waves. Active tags have a local power source such as a battery and may operate at hundreds of meters from the RFID reader. Unlike a barcode, the tag need not be within the line of sight of the reader, so it may be embedded in the tracked object. RFID is one method for Automatic Identification and Data Capture.

The Sync RFID windshield tag is an unobtrusive non-removable tag. Once the Sync RFID windshield is applied correctly it cannot be removed and placed on another vehicle. Our windshield tag is our most popular tag and has a long read range. All tag orders are custom made to ensure there are no duplicate facility codes and serial numbers. There is a minimum order qty of 50 on the windshield tag.

The Sync RFID headlight tag is a passive exterior mounted tag that offers vehicle identification up to a distance of 50 feet. Our headlight tag is a transparent and tamper proof and is almost invisible once installed. UV protectant film is installed over the chip providing relief from the sun. The Sync RFID headlight tag is needed in situations where the entire vehicle windshield is metallic or covered by solar film with metal particles. The headlight tag can also be used for motorcycles or mopeds. There is a minimum order quantity of 50 on the headlight tag.

Portable tags are removable and reusable and do not require permanent attachment to the vehicle. The portable tag has a read range of up to 30 feet.
